• The NJ State Employees' Health Benefits Program is introducing new Aetna medical plans. A Special Open Enrollment is being held from April 1 through April 30, 2024, to provide employees with the opportunity to select a new medical plan.  Plan changes will take effect July 1, 2024. This special enrollment is for employees who are currently enrolled in a SEHBP medical plan.  This  is for employees to select a new medical plan only. This enrollment will not allow employees to add or remove dependents or make dental plan changes.

Please log into your BenefitSolver and visit the Special Open Enrollment page to learn more about the new plan options and register to attend the live webinars hosted by Horizon and Aetna.

Welcome to Health Benefits

  • Atlantic City Public Schools offer Medical, Prescription, Dental and Vision to full-time employees after completing a 60-day waiting period. Coverage is through the NJ State Employees' Health Benefits Program. Alternatively, eligible employees may opt out of health coverage.

New employees will receive an email from the state's online benefits system, BenefitSolver. Whether new employees choose to enroll or waive coverage, they are required to complete their benefits elections online within their 60-day waiting period. Failure to do so will result in the employee's inability to enroll for health benefits until the next annual open enrollment.

To waive coverage, employees must complete the appropriate sections on BenefitSolver and provide proof of current health insurance coverage.  There is also a district Waiver of Coverage form to complete. Waiver forms and proof of coverage are required annually.
